Better Together

At KS Bank, we believe that small businesses are the cornerstones of our communities. This past year has brought about hardships for many and now, more than ever, we are dedicated to going above and beyond to support them. Helping businesses navigate the recent SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is just one example of how we are “Better Together.” KS Bank is your one true community bank and we are confident that what we do and how we do it is making a big difference in our communities lately.

Here's what one customer had to say about their experience with KS Bank.

Before Covid hit, the Wendell Chamber of Commerce was expanding, growing and experiencing a new wave of excitement in their small town. New businesses were popping up, people were relocating to the community and the excitement of expansion was all the buzz. The Chamber was hopeful to expand their staff in order to better support the growing membership and business community. But the pandemic changed it all.

Like so many businesses, the Chamber also experienced hardship. Being a membership based organization, they rely on the dues of the members to keep the doors open and businesses supported. Now more than ever, it has been apparent that the Chamber needs to stay strong in order to help the business community during this unstable time. They delayed the membership dues deadline in hopes that it would help their already struggling small business members stay afloat. Because of this, the only way the Chamber could remain strong for the community after a large decrease in dues was to apply for a PPP Loan. Thanks to KS Bank and the dedicated team, the Chamber secured the loan and can now add one new position to the Chamber staff, thus better serving their members during this uncertain time.

When asked “what is one thing you would tell your business partners about KS Bank”, here is what the Executive Director said: "We are a small town and we have a community bank partner, who understands what it means to be a small "local" business. I truly believe they know the meaning of community and it shows by every effort they make to accommodate their customers. Whether it's something complicated and intimidating like applying for a PPP loan or making a simple weekly deposit, they do it with a smile on their face and they go the extra mile. That’s the kind of bank I want to do business with."
